چکیده
Due to the increasing demand for clinical testing of infectious diseases at point-of-care, global market claims alternatives rapid diagnosis tools such as disposable biosensors, avoiding need specialized laboratories and skilled personnel. Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is an disease that commonly affects reproductive-age women predisposes infection sexually transmitted diseases. Especially in asymptomatic cases, BV can lead pelvic inflammatory conditions, postpartum endometritis, preterm labor. Conventionally, involves microscopic analysis vaginal swab samples; it thus requires highly trained In response, we report a novel microfluidic paper-based analytical device diagnosis. Sialidase, biomarker overexpressed BV, was detected by exploiting immunosensing mechanism previously discovered our team. This technology employs graphene oxide-coated surface quencher fluorescence; fluorescence immunoprobes do not experiment immunoreactions (antibody–antigen) are deactivated oxide via non-radiative energy transfer, whereas those undergoing preserve their photoluminescence due distance low affinity between immunocomplex surface. Our test typically carried out within 20 min, sample volume 6 μL. Besides, tested with 14 swabs specimens discriminate samples normal microbiota from BV. represents new tool prevent consequences

Screening for bacterial vaginosis.
The IIDSOG-USA has advocated antepartum screening for bacterial vaginosis (BV) in all pregnant women in an attempt to prevent premature delivery. The point is well made that there are a number of screening tests routinely performed during pregnancy that may or may not be beneficial. The question of whether or not routine screening for BV has merit with regard to prevention of premature labor an...

Bacterial vaginosis is the most prevalent cause of abnormal vaginal discharge in women of childbearing age. It can have a major impact on quality of life and psychological wellbeing if frequently recurrent and strongly symptomatic. The use of molecular techniques to study the vaginal microbiome is increasing our understanding of the dynamic changes in flora that occur in health and disease. It ...
